Shangri-La's Far Eastern Plaza is by far the best hotel in Tainan. We stayed in a suite and it was very spacious. The hotel has a very nice swimming pool and a great fitness center. In fact, the fitness center is the best I have seen in a hotel! Wonderful place to stay! Price is reasonable compared to other Shangri-la properties.

This is our family's fifth stay in this hotel. Since we drive, whether we go to Kaohsiung or Tainan or other southern part locations in Taiwan, our family just love staying here. It's really good value. The room is great, as well as the food, service and facilities - at a good price. It's just an easy choice.

The hotel does not have wifi in my room and my ipad needs one. When I ask them about the wifi, they send someone to my room right away and set up a temp wireless network ! Excellent service, breakfast is also wonderful.
